Hallie Smith is a junior political science student at Mississippi State from Union, MS. Additionally, she is pursuing minors in Pre-Law, Italian, Philosophy, and the Cursus Honorum. She joined the Stennis Institute in August 2026. She researches redistricting and electoral policy for her Shackouls Honors College thesis, and remains hopeful in achieving publication. On campus, she is the President of the Italian Club and Honors Mentorship & Success. She seeks to become a professor of Political Science at Mississippi State University in the future.
