Bryan Mathison is a Research Associate II at the John C. Stennis Institute of Government & Community Development. He preliminary works in the Salary Classification and Compensation Laboratory. Bryan began working at Stennis in December 2025.

He completed his Bachelor's in History at Georgia State University in 2014. He received a Masters in Political Science from Mississippi State University in 2018. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Public Administration and Policy at Mississippi State University. 

Professionally, he is pleased to have worked at various museums both in and out of state. Beyond working in museums, he enjoys visiting various museums, archives and libraries around the state. He has published in a number of respected publications including Archival Outlook and American Archivist. 

Like so many, he is an avid Mississippi State bulldog’s fan. He is a member of the American Society for Public Administration and the Mississippi Museum Association.
