2024 Stennis-Montgomery Association Students

Stennis-Montgomery Association Annual Networking Trip to Washington D.C.

The Stennis-Montgomery Association has 13 undergraduate students attending the 2024 Annual Washington D.C Networking Trip.

Students were selected based on organization involvement as well as meeting a paper requirement. Students are tasked with writing a three-page paper on any topic related to Congressman Sonny Montgomery or Senator John C. Stennis. Through the help of the Mississippi Political Collections located at Mitchell Memorial Library, students use primary sources such as letters, legislation, and photos to research the former Mississippi representatives.

In Washington D.C, students will have the opportunity to meet with current the Mississippi delegation as well as explore other careers offered in our nation’s capital.
