PROFILE

Brian Pugh graduated from Mississippi State University with honors in the spring of 2007 receiving a degree in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. He is currently pursing a master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration.

As an undergraduate student, Brian received the prestigious Bill Collins Scholarship. He was initiated into Phi Kappa Phi for being in the top ten percent at MSU. Brian was also a Dean’s and President’s Scholar. He also received the Minority Academic Achievement award every year while attending MSU. After the completion of his undergraduate degree, the department of Political Science and Public Administration awarded Brian the Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award.

Also as an undergraduate, Brian served as President of the Pre-Law Society, Vice-Chair of the Political Science Scholars, and Vice-President of The Gamma Beta Phi Society (National Honors Society). He was also a member of the Stennis Montgomery Association and Pi Sigma Alpha (Political Science Honors Organization), etc.

As a graduate student, Brian serves as an advisor to the Stennis Montgomery Association, President of Pi Sigma Alpha, and Vice-President of The Gamma Beta Phi Society. After the completion of his Master’s degree, he plans to pursue a Law Degree.
